Santanu Sarkar is Senior Vice President at SunBorne. He brings over 20 years of qualitative experience in Energy and Power Generation in the field of Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC). He has vast experience of Design Engineering, Contract Commercial and Project Finance, Statutory clearances and activities for setting up of Power Projects from concept to commissioning. Prior to SunBorne Santanus was heading EPC team of Indiabulls Power Limited for Amravati and Nasik projects for developing 5000 MW power projects in totality. He was responsible for Design Engineering and Proposal Engineering with Reliance Energy Limited for various projects like Yamunanagar (2 x 300 MW), Hissar (2 x 600 MW) and SASAN (6 x 660 MW). He has also served with CESC Limited and was responsible for project engineering and erection and commissioning of 2x250MW Budge Budge Project and Operation & Maintenance, International Coal sourcing and Renovation & Modernization.
Santanu is an Auditor and Technical Expert of Power Plant Process of TUV-SUD, Germany for conducting ISO audits; instrumental in statutory clearances for power project development and liaison with Government Agencies; well versed in contract commercial and international sourcing of power equipments and project cost optimization; instrumental in Team building and Project Construction & Quality Assurance of power equipments; and his acumen also encompasses project finance, Lender’s Engineering and activities for Financial closure of the projects executed by him.
