Anil Kumar Lakhina has 34 years of leadership experience in various organizations in the Indian Administrative Service, spanning infrastructure, power, finance, pharmaceuticals, economic policy and public administration. Anil took $4 billion Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) public in adverse market conditions and got REC navratna status (2008).
Anil has enormous experience in the management of large infrastructure projects. He is credited with planning and development of first Special Economic Zone in Navi Mumbai (2002), the first sea links project in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai (Bandra-Worli sea link and Navi Mumbai sea Link) in 2002-03, the first express way (Pune Expressway), 2002. Besides, he has been the Commissioner, Food and Drug Administration and Export Commissioner of India. He is best known for his experiments in reforming district level public administration for which the President of India conferred on him Padamshree-one of the highest civilian awards
Anil holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University, USA. He specializes in policy formulation, implementation and monitoring.
